Many of your customers like hot soup before or after their meal -- serving it in a biodegradable bagasse soup bowl adds to the surprise. We supply soup bowls with lids in various sizes. These bagasse soup bowls are made from natural and renewable raw materials. In this case, bagasse, a by-product of the sugarcane industry, is used.
Bagasse soup bowls are creamy and paper-like. They are heat - and leak-proof, and microwave - and refrigerator-friendly. Because they're made from only natural ingredients, toxic chemicals don't seep into the food.
Bagasse soup bowls are 100% biodegradable and compostable. They will compost in a home compost heap (or they will make handy seedling POTS that can be planted directly in the ground). If you are serving soup, choose to serve it the natural way.

About the green bagasse soup bowl
Bagasse soup bowls take into account the entire life cycle of food containers. In addition to the function of holding hot soup, it also takes into account what happens before and after use. First, it's important to know where the raw materials are coming from. Is the source sustainably managed? Does it contain harmful ingredients? Is it renewable, or is it based on fossil fuels? Does it involve drilling, hydraulic fracturing or hazardous extraction? Also, what happens at the end of the product life cycle? Is it biodegradable? Can nature absorb it? Or does it cause waste and pollution, and possibly harm wildlife? If it is a compostable bioplastic, is it certified compostable?
There are more important issues. For example, does the product contain harmful bleach? Or, does it have other chemical treatments? By thinking about what happens before, during and after we use food containers, we can prevent many harmful consequences. Food containers are used in a wider context and are part of a wider ecosystem. Eco-friendly food containers are designed to consider, create and maintain the health of these systems.

Bagasse soup bowls are made from plants
At Hyde, all our food containers are made from plants. We believe in using natural, renewable and non-toxic raw materials. We also like products made from recycled materials. For example, the cane used in our takeout containers, plates, napkins and some bowls is a by-product of sugar production. Sweet! We source wood and paper products from sustainably managed plantations. Sustainable, plant-based solutions are an effective, healthy option, and naturally good. For example, our greaseproof paper becomes greaseproof during a unique pulping process -- no additives required! Also, our untreated wooden tableware is naturally non-toxic. Perfect!

All bagasse products are compostable. Moreover, our bagasse soup bowl has passed the international standard certification. We are also working to end the practice of sending organic waste to landfills in South Africa. Better systems are possible. = If we narrow down and consider a broader perspective, we do less damage. And, we also get quality, healthy products!
